Question about SCT
« on: May 17, 2006, 04:44:23 PM »
I assume that pretty much everyone uses Scrolling Combat Text (SCT). I you're not click the above link and get it. It shows you who heals you for how much, it shows buff/debuffs you get and you loose. How much magic/melee damage it takes etc. All very usefull stuff.

Well I have a question about this mod. Does anyone know if it is possible to make the damage I do show up in SCT as apposed to above the mob/player?

Possible. Yes. But with SCT? As far as I know, no.

What you can do however is use Nurfed Combat Log, or HitsMode Combat Log, and then move the window to above your character and make it fully transparent.

Yes. There is a file in the SCT addon directory called sct_event_config.lua

Open it in Notepad and read the info at the top. It will show you how to get damage to show up in SCT (remember to turn off the in-game one). You just have to remove a couple of characters.

SCT added a new plugin called SCT - Damage that allows you to see the damage you inflict on mobs.  It comes in handy when you fight really big creatures and the numbers aren't readily visible.
